Dan Bakkedahl recently concluded production on his first lead role in a studio feature. He’ll be seen as ‘Mark’ in the Warner Bros. feature Observe and Report, which Jody Hill directed. Dan stars opposite Seth Rogen and Ray Liotta as a mall manager trying to contain the vigorous yet ineffective antics of his security guard underling (Rogen). Prior to that, Dan was a Senior Correspondent on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. He has also recently appeared on Law & Order, 30 Rock, The Flight of the Conchords, The Return of Jezebel James, and The Office.

Prior to his work on The Daily Show, Dan was a very active member of the bustling improv/sketch community in Chicago. While in the Windy City, Dan played and taught for local legends Second City and iO (formerly Improv Olympic), and he was a star member of such improv institutions as Baby Wants Candy and 4 Square (opposite John Lutz and Peter Grosz).

Dan currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife Irene and daughter, Anastascia. He is a native of Minnesota and has a BFA in theater from Florida State University.
